Albert V. Stivers, 91, of Zanesville, died at 3:05 P.M. on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at the Cedar Hill Care Center. Albert was born Dec 2, 1923, in Macon, OH, a son of the late Carl and Bess Jameson Stivers. He was a WWII U.S. Veteran of the Korean Conflict and worked as a truck driver. Surviving are three daughters, Anna Scott of Texas, Sandra (Rod) Roll of Zanesville and Paula Barnett of Zanesville; three sons, Brett (Marsha) Stivers of Zanesville, Danny (Diane) Dingus of Mississippi, and Jeff (Tammy) Dingus of Pataskala; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; his second wife Theda Jean Dingus; and a special feline companion, Tom. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sons, Ricky, Rocky, Rock Anthony and Michael; a great grandson Jason Glasmeier; and two sisters, Betty Carter and Lucille Polle. Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. Immediately following calling hours, full military honors will be presented by the United States Army in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post #1058.
