Alice E. Emerick

Alice Eloise Emerick, 77, of Zanesville, passed away at 11:17 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2008 at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. She was born March 28, 1931, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Elmer and Lela Mercer Baughman. Alice was a homemaker, a member of the Fair Oaks Baptist Church and an avid golfer and bowler. She is survived by her husband, Edward W. Emerick, whom she married December 1, 1951, of the home; a daughter, Rebecca Dustman of Zanesville; five sons, Stephen Emerick of West Lafayette, Ohio, David Emerick, Rodney Emerick of Zanesville and Robert Emerick, all of Zanesville and Gary Emerick of Vermillion, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Roberts and Barbara (Jack) Ziegler, both of Zanesville; a brother, Willard (Bud) Baughman of Zanesville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Bernard Baughman. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow at.Woodlawn Cemetery.
