Andrew A. Titko, 88, of Zanesville, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2008 at Autumn Health Care of Zanesville. He was born July 5, 1920, in Congo, Ohio, a son of the late Andrew and Susan Mate Titko. He was retired from National Plumbing, was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #29 and VFW George Selsam Post #1058. Andy played Santa Claus at the Colony Square Mall until retiring in 1994 and was a United States Navy World War II Veteran. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor H. Teisinger Titko, whom he married May 16, 1964, of the home; four step children, Rudy (Shelby) Osborne of Little Rock, Ark, Fran (Lee) Lowery of Zanesville, Barbara (Dick) Littick of Rocky Mount, NC. and Donald (Traci McCoid) Osborne of Zanesville; nine grandchildren, M/Sgt Don (Meling) Billingsley, Ed (Kelly) Billingsley, Barbara (Dave) Snider, Kym Carder, Keeley (Steve) Herron, Libby (Carlie) Cooper, Kelly Osborne, Rhonda Abbott and Marsha Hanvy; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and a brother, Art Titko of Newark. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Joe, and Johnny Titko and five sisters, Flora Titko, Elizabeth Titko, Lena Titko, Sara Titko and Eva Titko. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. till service time Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom England officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors being provided by the United States Navy with the assistance of the VFW George Selsam Post 1058.
