Anna Mae (Wallen) Picklesimer

Anna Mae Picklesimer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and long-time resident of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Anna was born in Paintsville, Kentucky on June 27, 1931 to William Wallen and Bessie Alma Persinger. Siblings included Aileen, Wilma, Ruth, Billie Jo, Helen, Atha, Rosemary, half-sister Janet, and half-brother Kenneth. Anna married Allen Holt Picklesimer on June 9, 1951. Their children included Allen "Bo" (Linda), Kathy, Vaughn, Christopher (Ann Marie), Gary (Laurie), Heather (Todd) and Nathan (Kami). Anna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in a variety of capacities throughout her adult life. Parents, and siblings Aileen, Wilma, Ruth, Billie Jo, Helen, Atha, Kenneth, and infant son Vaughn, preceded Anna in death. Arrangements are being handled by Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Thursday 8-10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 3300 Kearns Drive, Zanesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, with David Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park.
