Anna R (Green) Ross

Anna R. Green Ross, 83, of Zanesville, died unexpectedly at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at her residence. She was born November 19, 1926, in Adams Township in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late Harold and Louise Minner Green. She retired as office manager for The Oxford Oil Company and she was the personal finance manager for JWS Straker. Anna was a member of the Rolling Plains United Methodist Church, Senior Bethesda League, Aircraft Owner and Pilots Association and the International Comanche Society and was a Red Cross Volunteer at Bethesda Hospital. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Harry D. Ross, whom she married March 30, 1946, of the home; two sisters, Mary Ruth (John) Mock of Zanesville and Eva (Russell) Moorehead of Norwich; many nieces and nephews; many great nieces and great nephews; and their special friends who they consider their grandchildren, Joe Matthews and April Baker, both of Zanesville. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2010 at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Law officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Newton Township Fire Dept., PO Box 181, White Cottage, Ohio, 43791 or to the Salvation Army, 515 Putnam Ave., Zanesville, Ohio, 43701.
