Annabelle R. DeVolld, 74, of Zanesville, died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born September 27, 1935, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Stanley and Rosetta Fain Fountain. She retired after 20 years of service as head cook for Zanesville High School and later was employed as a cashier at Pick-N-Save. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Richard (Karen) DeVolld, James (Sherrie) DeVolld and David (Krista) DeVolld, all of Zanesville; two brothers, James (June) Fountain of Zanesville and Robert S. (Marian) Fountain of Roseville; four grandsons, Kevin DeVolld, Austin DeVolld, Joey Cook and Boone DeVolld, all of Zanesville; five granddaughters, Jessica Rock and Allison (TJ) Bethel, both of Zanesville, Elizabeth Cook of Jacksonville, Florida, Heather (Adam) Tracey of Marysville, Ohio and Anna DeVolld of Zanesville; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Fountain of Roseville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David L. DeVolld, who died March 19, 2006; three sisters, Alma Jean Fountain, Sondra Fountain and Betty J. Sims; and two brothers, Cyril Lester Fountain and William Fountain. Calling hours will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Rev. Reginald Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
