Annie Laurella (Forrester) Kent passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the age of 101. She was born September 1, 1920 to Charles and Ida (Thompson) Forrester. She was born and raised on the Forrester family farm in Wood County, Ohio. On December 4, 1944, Annie married Jule Ray Kent and to this union six children were born.
Mom was a patient, quiet, and caring soul who loved her family without measure. She enjoyed the beauty of nature, the unbounded joy of small children, the companionship of cats, and the artistry of sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Worthy Forrester; two sisters, Margaret Edit Schroeder, and Ardah Mabel Nixon. Jule, her husband of 35 years, passed away in 1980. She was also preceded in death by a special friend, Benjamin McNeil, and a daughter-in-law, Judy Kent.
Mom leaves to celebrate her life, six children – Ray (Ruth Ann) Kent, Charles (Viola) Kent, Steven (Sonia) Kent, Louann (David) Henderson, Gloria (Daniel Fleming) Kent, and Ian (Diane Pritt) Kent; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Mom was a private person and to honor her wishes, she will be cremated without a funeral service and her ashes will be buried next to Dad under the pines on the Kent family farm.
