Arleen L. Lewis, 93, of Zanesville, died at 2:29 A.M. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born January 12, 1922, in Newark, a daughter of the late Dana and Ethel Kinney Harper. She was a 75 year member of Market Street Baptist Church, where she was active in the Crusaders Class since 1940, Esther Circle, and the Needlework Guild. She was also a member of the Eastern Star #52, Klothes for Kids for 25 years which provides clothing for Zanesville City Schools, and White Shrine of Jerusalem. Surviving are her four sons, Charles (Sondra) Lewis Jr. of Zanesville, Dana (Diane) Lewis of New Philadelphia, Robert (Charlene) Lewis of Zanesville, Jerry (Lori) Lewis of Bluffton; daughter Christy (Ken) Wilson of Zanesville; Vickie Lewis of New Philadelphia; twelve grandchildren, Roxanne Lewis, Bryan (Sheri) Lewis, Kevin Lewis, Amy Ansel, Shari (Matt) Donohoe, Jennifer Lewis, Susan (Adrian) Spires, Jamie (Trent) Dillon, Jessica (Tyler) Hall, Jonathan (Brittany) Lewis, Lauren (Brian) Printy and Jenna Wilson (Tyler Miller); fifteen great grandchildren, Shanelle, Brady (Whitney), and Curtis Lewis, Andrew, Adrienne, Alexa, and Ashlyn Ansel, Ella Donohoe, Anderson and Griffin Spires, Harper and baby girl Dillon, Bowen Printy, and Madison and Kadyn Hall; a great great granddaughter Josie Lewis; two sisters-in-law Elsie (Bud) Noe of Zanesville and Martha Lewis of Heath; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Lewis Sr., who died June 27, 2003; her granddaughter Sally L. Lewis; her sister Ilene E. Hogle; and a brother-in-law Tom Lewis. Friends and family may call from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, February 16, 2015, at Market Street Baptist Church, 140 N. 6th Street, Zanesville, with Pastor Howard Thompson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville. Arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. Mom will be remembered for her beautiful smile, love and dedication to her family.
