Arlyn K. Ramey Sr., 68, of Zanesville, went home to be with his Lord, Sunday, February 19, 2006 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 3, 1937 in Dekalb County, IN, living most of his life in Ohio. He retired in 2001 as a General Manager for R&B Chemical, in Zanesville. Arlyn enjoyed singing with the Y-City Barbershop Chorus and ocean cruising. He was an avid die cast classic car collector and automobile enthusiast. He is survived by his wife, Connie L. Ramey of Zanesville, his mother, Geraldine Ramey, five children, two step children, Arlyn K. Jr., Timothy A. (Roberta) Ramey, Teri L. (Jerry) Ramey, James W. (Frances) Ramey, Kevin L. Ramey, Sonya L. (JR) Sorians, Shawn L. (Ann) Goard, thirteen grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a brother, Lowell L. (Marg) Ramey, a sister, Datha Myers, a niece and numerous nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend William V. Ramey and a brother, Bernard V. Ramey. A Memorial Celebration of Arlyn's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville, with the Reverend Lynn Ramey of Delaware, OH officiating and the Y-City Barbershop Chorus. Friends may call one hour prior to the memorial celebration service and the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military rites at the funeral home.
