Arnold M. Adkins

Arnold M. Adkins, 77, of Zanesville, died at 8:50 A.M. on Monday, March 04, 2013, at his home. He was born October 10, 1935, in Pikeville, KY, a son of the late Mack and Hattie Stone Adkins. He served 4 years in the National Guard, worked in production at Columbus Coated Fabrics, and was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are a son Michael D. (Susan) Adkins of Frazeysburg; a daughter Annette Adkins of Zanesville; grandchildren Douglas A., Michelle R., and Daniel V. Adkins, all of Frazeysburg; a brother Paul (Geraldine) Adkins of Fairview, NC; two sisters, Jackline Bowman of Canal Winchester, and Sherry (Tim) Richards of Reynoldsburg; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carmelita Rainwater Adkins, who died June 20, 1990; and a daughter Alyssa Adkins, who died November 2, 1984. Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 22, 2013, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family, a dignified cremation has taken place.
