Arthur B. Bennett

Arthur B. Bennett, 55, of Zanesville, was welcomed into Jesus' arms at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, January 03, 2012 after a valiant battle with cancer at his residence. Born August 8, 1956, in Curwensville, PA, son of Catherine Green Bennett of Mayo, FL and the late Frederick Bennett. He retired after 23 years of service as a jockey for UPS Freight. He was an Eagle Scout, avid outdoorsman and a Jeep enthusiast. He was a member of Teamsters Local Union 776 in Harrisburg, PA. Surviving in addition to his mother are his loving wife, Pauletta Hayes Bennett; his two adoring daughters, Melissa and husband Jeff Samboy of Nevada and Ashley Bennett of Denver, CO; step son and friend, Matthew Singell of Columbus, OH; brother, Frederick (June) Bennett of New Kent, VA; sister, Donna KlienMeyer of Mayo, FL; and best friend, Chris Noel of Newport, PA. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Stewart. Friends and family may call from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
