Atha N. Wesbar, 90, of Zanesville, died at 6:15 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Willow Haven Care Center. She was born January 22, 1921, in West Lafayette, Ohio, a daughter of the late Lester C. and Lena Nelson Renner. She graduated from South Zanesville High School Class of 1939. She worked at Combs Shoe Store on Main Street, as a cashier at Nichols Restaurant and as a machine inspector for Timken Roller Bearing. She was a member of Rolling Plains United Methodist Church. She was an avid lover of playing cards and was a member of two card clubs. Surviving are a daughter, Sue Moran of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Tracy Ankrum-Colegrove of Thornville and Mitch (Gail) Taylor of Dresden; three great grandchildren, Allie Taylor of Austin, TX, Ben Mitchell Colegrove and Tanner Matthew Colegrove, both of Thornville; several nieces and nephews; and two close cousins, Dorothy (Richard) Morrison of Zanesville and Janet (Bob) McFarland of Wooster, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred P. Wesbar, who died January 12, 1999; three sisters, Pauline Renner, Cordelia Ford and Beverly Wright; and a grandmother, Mayme Renner Stein. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at the funeral home with Dr. Brian Law officiating. Atha will be laid to rest next to her husband, Alfred, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
