Barbara A. Carpenter

Barbara Lee "Bobbie" Carpenter, 72, of Zanesville, died at 3:22 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Genesis Good Samaritan hospital. She was born January 29, 1936, in Dresden, a daughter of the late Henry and Lizzie Farus Gill. She retired after 25 years of service as a paralegal for Gottlieb, Johnston, Beam & Dal Ponte, PLL, Attorneys at Law. She was an avid animal lover all her life and she left two behind, Nicky and Belle. Surviving are three sisters, Alice Hall of Philo, Anna Vore of Zanesville and Betty Jean Mason of New Concord; many nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Carpenter, who died January 26, 2002; three sisters, Mildred Bice, Bernice Groves and Faye Porter; four brothers, Daulton, Howard, James and Dick Gill. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cumberland Cemetery, Cumberland, Ohio.
