Barbara J. (Mcpherson) Huffman

Barbara J. “Grandma” Huffman, 84, of Zanesville, died at 6:57 P.M. on December 9, 2023, at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. She was born July 13, 1939, in West Lafayette, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank and Willa Johnson McPherson. She was generous with her time and love but most importantly, Barbara loved her children and grandchildren. She had retired from the Lear Corporation after 30+ years, and spent her retirement years working at Red Lobster.

She is survived by her five children, Cindy (Jake) Huffman, Everett(Denise) Huffman Jr., Sue Huffman-Appleman, Michael ( Jophel) Huffman and Jane (David) Boggs; ten grandchildren, Ryan (Heidi) Richardson, Harvey (Sandy) Richardson, Jack Richardson, Bambi (Chad) Dailey, Rodney (Kelly) Lang, Keisha (Kyle) Tyson, Toni (Matt) Tigner, Mandi (Andy) Appleman Diehl, Joie Huffman, and Cody (Alexandria) Boggs; twenty-three great grandchildren, Kane Richardson, Timothy Richardson, Ava Richardson, Jonathan Dailey, Sydney Dailey, Benjamin Dailey, Nicolas Dailey, Grace McBurney, Aubrey Tyson, Eli Tyson, Rodney Lang Jr., Hayden Tigner, Tristen Tigner, Aerian Diehl, Averie Diehl, Lyle Diehl, Jaelynn Hope Huffman-Castillo, Coen Carter, Xander Boggs and Eliza Boggs, Isaiah Walters, Janae Walters, and Gage Frick; a sister in law Carol McPherson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Everett W. Huffman Sr. who died July 14, 2010; three sisters, Mary Jane Grove, Wanda Moffit and Sarah Stance; two brothers, Frank McPherson and Donald McPherson; and a granddaughter Ashley Boggs.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE ZANESVILLE, with Pastor Jamie Harrop officiating. Barbara will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Everett, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
