Barbara J. (Stewart) Lewis

Barbara J. Lewis, 74, of Zanesville, died at 4:20 P.M. Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born December 3, 1938, in Ashville, OH, a daughter of the late Howard and Mabel Bennett Stewart. She worked as an Inspector for Brockway Glass for 20 years, and she also worked for the Longaberger Company for 7 years. In her free time, she loved to play bingo . Surviving are two sons, Rocky Lewis of Zanesville and Robert (Connie) Lewis of Zanesville; a daughter Paula (John) Lemley of Duncan Falls; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother Slim Stewart of Duncan Falls; two sisters, Dorothy Norris of Zanesville and Rosemary Hollis of PA; a brother-in-law Jim (Barbara) Lewis of Zanesville; and a sister-in-law Mary Lewis of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul J. Lewis, who died June 16, 1993; a brother Howard Stewart Jr.; and a sister Helen Noce. No calling hours will be observed; a dignified cremation has taken place. Arrangements were entrusted to the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville.
