Barbara A. Taylor

Barbara Ann Taylor, 76, of Zanesville, died at 10:25 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born January 29, 1930, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Wayne and Margaret Wells Ross. Barbara was a former secretary for the Zanesville City Schools and later became a secretary at Sears & Roebuck until her retirement. Barbara was a Past President of the Bethesda Guild, an avid golfer and was a member of the Zanesville Country Club. She had a passion and gift for needlepoint. She was a longtime member of the Grace United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, William H. Taylor, whom she married March 21, 1953, of the home; one son, Jeffery W. Taylor of Zanesville and one sister, Margaret Miller of Redondo Beach, FL. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Donald Ross, Wayne Ross, Ted Ross and Edwin Ross. Friends may call 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Zanesville Memorial Park with Rev. James Sands officiating.
