Bernadine O. Harbin Young, 84, of Newark, a former Zanesville resident, died at 8:25 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2009 at her residence. She was born April 11, 1925, in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles T. and Chloe Young Harbin. She was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church and it's sewing circles. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, a United States World War II Navy Wave Veteran, Volunteer at the Friends of the McIntire Library, and a longtime Gray Lady for the American Red Cross, Surviving are a daughter, Judy A. (Curtis) Thompson of Seattle, Washington; three sons, Austin G. (Deborah) Young of Akron, Wayne A. Young of Newark and David A. (Robin) Young of Merriam, KS.; a sister, Violet Hulboy of Zanesville; ten grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Austin V. Young, whom she married September 20, 1947 and who died August 18, 2005; a sister, Isabel Harris; and a brother, Charles W. Harbin. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. till service time at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30th, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Rev.
