Bernard F. Eppley Jr.

July 17, 1929 — March 10, 2013

Bernard F. Eppley Jr., 83, of Newark, died at 12:30 P.M. Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born July 17, 1929, in Zanesville, a son of the late Bernard F. Sr. and Eulalia Grace Gay Eppley. He retired as a Rural Postal Carrier for the United States Postal Service, and had previously worked at Rockwell International for 17 years. Surviving are three daughters, Gloria (Randy) Bowman of Homer, MI, Norma (Mike) Stanton of Lancaster, CA, and Teresa (Robert) Dunn of Frazeysburg; a son Larry Eppley of Heath; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and a sister Dorothy Allen of Zanesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Winifred A. King Eppley, whom he married June 2, 1962, and who died March 1, 2009; a daughter Karen Reed; a brother Robert Eppley; and a sister Edith Orwig. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 14, 2013. He will be laid to rest, beside his beloved wife Winifred, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
