Bernard F. Harper, 49, of Zanesville, died on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born April 21, 1963 in Zanesville, a son of Cecil F. and Marjorie Mae Lashley Harper of Zanesville. Bernard gave the gift of life as an Organ Donor. He also worked at Harper's Auto Body as an auto body repairman. Surviving in addition to his parents are his loving wife, Dorothy "Dine" Ulry Harper, whom he married on November 5, 2011; two sons, Brad Allen Harper and Michael R. (Ashley) Efaw both of Zanesville; a daughter, Jessica R. Efaw of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Raelin, Glory and Kai; three brothers, Clayton (Alice) Harper, Jeffrey Harper and Kevin Michael Harper all of Zanesville; two sisters, Debbie (Ralph) Worden of Zanesville and Dianne Harper of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Candy Bruton of Zanesville; a special friend, Chris Armstrong of Zanesville; four nieces, Stephanie, Amanda, Jessica and Chelsea; and five nephews, Loren, Jamie, Kyle, Jason and Corey. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Glenna and Clyde Ulry, paternal grandparents, William R. and Elsie D. (Mahon) Harper and Oscar and Florence Lashley. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 where the funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Bernard will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery, Zanesville.
