Bernice E. Studer, 81, of Zanesville, passed away at 5:04 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born April 2, 1926, in Perry County, the daughter of the late John and Minnie Kenison Jewett. Mrs. Studer was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son in-law, Sharon and Stephen Crotzer of Zanesville; two sisters, Margaret Cavinee of Zanesville and Darlene McCallister of Lancaster, Ohio; a granddaughter, Kambria McIntire of New Albany, Ohio; special friend and companion, Bob Sands and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Studer, who died October 15, 1996; five sisters, Irene Riley, Nola Patton, Violet Riley, Avis Monroe and Ruthie Mae Jewett and three brothers, Johnny Jewett, Robert Jewett, and Kenneth Jewett. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Portersville Ohio.
