Bettie L. Benham, 92, passed away on February. 18, 2025, at The Inn at Winchester Trail in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Bettie was born on December 21, 1932, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to Samuel and Lela Isbill. Bettie grew up in Kingfisher Oklahoma and moved to Okeene, Oklahoma when she was young. She met and married Harold Lane Benham on August 15, 1952. The cheerleader married the football star and hung up her pompoms to be a happy homemaker. They moved to Los Angeles, California in 1968 where Lane was a shift miller with Pillsbury, then to Minneapolis, MN in 1974. Bettie worked for Hoagland’s, a clothing store in Brookland Park, MN and enjoyed the changes to her life with things to do outside the home. In 1977, the family moved to Enid, Oklahoma where Lane was the milling superintendent for Pillsbury/ADM and Bettie worked at Margo’s La Mode, as the store manager for several years, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Bettie loved shopping at the mall and the varied antique stores and thrift stores in the area and loved decorating her home with many unique finds.

Bettie and Lane retired and enjoyed many happy years golfing and traveling to the golf courses around Oklahoma. They were married for 70 years prior to Lane’s passing in 2023. After Lane’s passing, Bettie lived with her daughter Rachelle and husband Scott Ducharme in Columbus, Ohio.

Bettie is survived by her three children, Timothy and wife Patricia; daughter Renee Benham; and daughter Rachelle Ducharme and husband Scott; and seven grandchildren: David, Sam (and Randa) and Timothy (and Lynn) Benham, Nichole (and Todd Carlson), Courtney (and Luke Price), Taylor and Joshua (and Beck) Ducharme. She is also survived by her Great Grandson Elijah Samson Benham.

She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Lela Isbill, and four siblings June (Berntsen), Ted Isbill, Gerry (Long) and Tom Isbill.

Her loved ones are thankful that Mom and Dad are finally together again with Jesus with no more struggling, pain or difficulties, only love and peace.
