Betty Erwin Hiebel, 86, of Cabot, Arkansas, formerly of Zanesville, died at 4:37 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Baptist Hospital, North Little Rock , Arkansas. She was born January 10, 1920 at Zanesville, a daughter of the late Harold Gray and Nellie Mae Ford Leasure. She retired as a bookkeeper for Suburban Drilling Co., was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, member of the Muskingum Co. Genealogy Society, Kof C Ladies Auxiliary, First Families of Muskingum Co., Life member of American Legion Post 726, Life member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post # 726 and Life Member of D.A.V. Surviving are a son, James (Danna Kay) Erwin of Cabot, Ark., a daughter, Jan Elizabeth (David) Allen of Nashport, two grandchildren, James Edward Erwin of Fayettville, Ark. and Jason Lewis (Marsha) Erwin of Memphis, Tenn. , a great grandson, a brother, Kenneth E. Leasure of Hereford, AZ and a sister, Rosemary L. White of Rodanthe, N.C. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James O. Erwin, who died July 13, 1960, her second husband, Lewis F. Hiebel , who died September 7, 1992 and a brother, Harold (Hal) Leasure. No calling hours will be observed. Private funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville with Rev. Mr. B.N. Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Shelter.
