Betty J. Wilson

Betty J. Hughes Wilson, 73, of Zanesville, died at 2:50 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2009 at Adams Lane Care Center. She was born January 28, 1936, in Deavertown, a daughter of William and Doris I. Smith Spinks. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling. Surviving are her husband, Robert M. Wilson, whom she married September 5, 1953, of the home; two daughters, Delaine (Russell) Hill and Julie (Michael) Metzger, both of Zanesville; two sons, Robert D. Wilson and Douglas A. (Ivy) Wilson, both of Zanesville; 10 grandchildren, Amy Jerles, Chad Jerles, Bryan Wilson, Josh Wilson, Abby Wilson, Kyle and Hannah Hoopes, Jordann Hill, Camille Wilson and Amos Wilson; 5 great grandchildren, Mackenzie Jerles, Nakita Jerles, Ayla Noss, Avery Anna Noss and Kyleah Wilson; and a nephew, Biff Wilson of Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris I. Smith Spinks; her in-laws, Janice and Clair Wilson; a niece, Kimbi Sue Wilson; and a nephew, Steven Wilson. At the request of the family, no calling hours or services will be observed. A caring cremation has taken place. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville is entrusted with all arrangements.
