Betty J. Lasure

Betty J. Lasure, 85, of McConnelsville, formerly of Zanesville, died at 10:10 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Genesis Health & Rehab Center in McConnelsville, Ohio after a long illness. She was born February 15, 1925, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Roy E. and Roxie E. Tandy Mason. She was a life long resident of Zanesville. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are a daughter, Sally Lasure Tennyson of Zanesville; a granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Tennyson of Charleston, SC.; a sister, Maralene Crawford of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Lasure; a sister, Vivian Gregg and three brothers, Kenneth, Harold and Richard Mason. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Duncan Falls Cemetery with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville is entrusted with all arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's name to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 408 Ninth St. SW, Canton, Ohio, 44707.
