Betty J. Logan-Norris

March 22, 1932 — January 24, 2016

Betty Jean Logan-Norris, 83, of Zanesville, died at 9:05 a.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Genesis Hospital. She was born March 22, 1932, in Zanesville, daughter of the late Elder John Wesley and Clara D. Wilkinson Logan. She was a member of Baker Street Church of God where she served as Minister and Choir Director, and served the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. Her favorite scripture was "Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name". (Psalm 103:1) She is survived by her husband William J. Norris, Sr., whom she married in 2004; daughter Dora Lynn Drafton of Atlanta, GA; three sons, James Thomas Mann II of San Francisco, CA, Tazewell Mann, Sr. of Marysville, and Joseph M. (Becky) Mann of Granville; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother James Henry (Euolinda) Logan of Rock Hill, SC; a sister Elder Josephine F. Hill of Zanesville; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and many foster children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, twins Daniel and Samuel, Raymond, Charles and William G. Logan, Sr.; and a sister Dora Harvey. Friends and family may call from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral service at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, January 29, 2016, at the Baker Street Church of God, 718 Baker Street Zanesville, Ohio 43701, with Bishop James H. Logan Jr. officiating. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville.
