Betty V. McFerren, 86, of Zanesville, died at 12:55 A.M. on Friday, November 2, 2012, at her home. She was born July 18, 1926, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Russell R. and Sarah Kennedy Burnworth. She retired as an assembler from United Technologies Automotive in 1988 and was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church as well as the Earich Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. Surviving are her husband, R. Woodrow McFerren, whom she married July 26, 1986; a daughter Karen (Robert) Sommers of Zanesville; a son Byron "Skip" (Susan) Baker of Chandlersville; four grandchildren, Robert L. (Marcie) Sommers of Columbus, Brent M. (Nancy) Sommers of Columbus, Christopher E. (Amanda) Baker of Zanesville, and Tara R. (Michael) Morrison of Zanesville; and four great grandchildren London Baker, Tyler Baker, Isabella Morrison, and Alexis Sommers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Byron F. Baker on June 22, 1974; and a brother Franklin R. Burnworth. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 4, 2012, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 5, 2012, with Dr. Dennis Baker officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her first husband Byron at Greenwood Cemetery, Zanesville.
