Betty Jean Mox, 90, of 1122 West Taylor St., died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday August 29, 2009 at the Willow Haven Nursing Home. She was born September 14, 1918, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late George and Bertha Stemm Fusner. Betty was an assembler at General Electric, retiring in 1981. She was a PFC in the United States Army during WW 2 and a former member of the Carwick Grange. Surviving are a son, Jerry Mox of Zanesville; grandchildren, Wayne (Deanna) Mox and Kenneth (Jamie) Mox, both of Zanesville and Tanya Burnell of Columbus, Ohio; great grandchildren, Steele, Paige, Kaiden, Raelin and Lijah; a sister, Ruth Ball of Zanesville; and an ex daughter in-law, Kathy (Toby) Watters of Frazeysburg. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth A. Mox, who died December 20, 2002, three sisters, Carolyn Crozier and Dot Carter; and four brothers, Bob, Warren, Russell and Bub Fusner. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday September 1, 2009 at the funeral home with Minister Bill Meaige officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery near Adamsville Ohio. V.F.W. George Selsam Post 1058 will hold military services at the gravesite.
