"Prelude To Glory" I've slipped off the surley Bonds of earth, To go on a Journey Far, Tis awaiting me at Heaven's door Beyond The Brightest Star. My entrance to this glorious land Will surely be complete, When I meet the One that saved me, And plucked me from defeat. For He has promised me a home A mansion if you will! In that Shining City, beyond The farthest hill. There I'll join my mother, sisters Brothers too, I'll have to pinch my brand new Body, just to know it's true! My pilgrimage is o'er, the Crown of Life I've won, Ten thousand times ten thousand Years, my life has just begun. When you think of me, do it With a smile, For I hope to see you there, In a little while. -by Betty Stevens, written July, 2005
