Bijou Knock, 93, of Zanesville, died at 12:20 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007 at Summerville at The Inn at North Hills. She was born December 20, 1913 in Cincinnati, Ohio a daughter of the late Fred and Edna Stoffer Stockton. She graduated from the University of Dubuque in 1936. She was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church. During her life she was a volunteer for Each on Teach One, on the Board of Directors of Federated Women's clubs of America, Past President of Council of Church Women's United, , Y- Auxiliary Board in Vincennes, Indiana, Board of Directors of Westminster House in New Castle, Indiana, on the Board of Directors of Eastside Community Ministries and an Elder at Central Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a two daughters, Nancy Walters of Cincinnati, Ohio and Beth (Dr. Martin L.) Curtis of Zanesville; two sons, Jim Knock of Fairfax, Virginia and John ( Naomi Phillips) Knocks of Arcadia, PA.; nine grandchildren, Trisha ( Steve) Alaniz, Debbie ( Robert) Quinn, Tom (Theresa) Walters, Mona Knock, Benjamin Knock, Benji ( Michelle) Curtis, Brad ( Miwwako) Curtis, Tim Curtis and Aaron Phillips Knock; nine great grandchildren, Rhiannon and Brian Knapp, Katy and Kevin Quinn, John and Elizabeth Walters and Alex, Anna and Austin Curtis. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. H. Calvin Knock who died in 1992 and a brother, Lincoln Stockton. Bijou donated her body to The Ohio State University in Columbus for Medical Research. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
