Bonnie L. Spicer Clagett Ackley, 68, of East Fultonham, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Adams Lane Care Center. She was born July 28, 1943, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Vernon and Elsie Alexander Spicer. She graduated from Zane State College with a Bachelor's Degree and retired as a dietician for ODC Nursing Home. Surviving are a daughter, Jodine Clagett of New Concord; three sons, Kevin (Caroline) Clagett of Coshocton, Bill Clagett of East Fultonham and John (Anise) Clagett of Claysville; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen McGirr and Betty Jo Longfellow, both of Zanesville; a brother, Sonny (Caroline) Spicer of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ackley; and two brothers, Donald and Bill Spicer. The Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home has been chosen by the Ackley family to provide Bonnie's final wishes to bequeath her body to the Ohio University Anatomical Program to further medical research.
