Bonnie Lou Murphy, 88, of Zanesville, died at 3:40 P.M. on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at The Oaks of Bethesda. She was born August 12, 1928, in Zanesville, daughter of the late Albert and Gladys Gale Kokensparger. She was a cook for the Zanesville City Schools for over thirty years. Bonnie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Zane Trail Kampers Club and involved in the March of Dimes. She is survived by her husband, Harry W. Murf Murphy, Jr., of the home, whom she married May 2, 1948; two sons, Michael (Joanne) Murphy and Patrick Murphy; five grandchildren, Brian (Tina) Murphy, Josh Murphy, Kelly (Dan) Morrison, Ebonie Murphy, and Devin Murphy; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Murphy, Tristan Murphy, Andrew Morrison, Brianna Morrison, Cameron Morrison, Caleb Francis, and Dawson Frank; and a brother, Robert Kokensparger. Friends and family may call from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 P.M. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, with Rev. Raymond C. Morrison, Jr. officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park.
