Bonnie J. Neal

Bonnie J. Neal, 79, of Zanesville, died at 12:50 P.M. on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Willow Haven Nursing Home.  She was born June 4, 1943, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Kathryn (Gooding) Dickson and Bill Dickson. Bonnie graduated from Philo High School. She worked many years at Ford’s BP station and retired from Willow Haven Nursing Home as a Nurse’s aide. She was passionate about caring for others. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time with her great granddaughters, Ava and Alivia Neal, who knew her as “Memaw”. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two sons, David (Debbie) Neal of Zanesville and Brian Neal of Heath; her grandchildren and caregivers, Brock (Sara) Neal, and other grandchildren, Ricky (Jordan) Newhouse, Megan (Ryan) Moore, Clayton, Summer, and Craig Neal, Cole (Carrie) and Nick Ford, Dustin (Michelle) Newton, Lynn Marie Shook, and Stephen Knox Jr.; numerous great grandchildren; a brother Marvin Veyon; her special friend Ron Swope, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Lindamood; three brothers, Richard, Donald, and James Veyon and her beloved dog, Ming.

A loving cremation will take place under the direction of the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.

A private graveside service will be held at Duncan Falls Cemetery, Duncan Falls with Pastor Mark Katrick officiating.
