Brian L. Potts

Brian L. Potts, 54, of Duffy, Ohio, died at 3: 44 P.M. Thursday May 8, 2014, at Wetzel Co. Hospital emergency room, New Martinsville, WV. He was born June 15, 1959, in New Martinsville, WV, a son of Twila Bauman Potts of Hannibal and the late Carl H. Potts. Brian worked as a Regional Manager for In-Store Services, was a faithful member and treasurer at Duffy Church of Christ, and graduated from River High School Class of 1977. He loved Riverboats and was avid fan of all River Pilot Sports, Pittsburgh Pirates baseball, and all Ohio State Athletics. Surviving in addition to his mother are a daughter, Janelle (Jeff) Blankenship of North Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister, Tabi (Kelly) Dierkes of Woodsfield; a brother, Steve (Cheryl) Potts of Hannibal; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Matt) Hoover, David Potts, Emily Dierkes and Eric Dierkes; and two great nieces, Megan and Mylee Hoover. Friends and family may call from 2- 6 P.M. Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Grisell Funeral Home, 751 3rd Street, New Martinsville, WV. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 12, 2014, at the funeral home with Evangelist Greg Yost officiating. Brian will be laid to rest beside his father at Harter Cemetery, Hannibal, Ohio.
