Bridgette Elaine (Mccormick) Butler

Bridgette Elaine Butler, 48, of Frazeysburg, died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Genesis Good Samaritan emergency room. She was born November 13, 1962, in Zanesville, a daughter of Mink McCormick of Deavertown and the late Diana Devoll McCormick. She was employed as a bus driver for Starlight School and working at Starlight with the children was her passion. She was a member of the Muskingum Presbyterian Church, Muskingum 4-H Trailblazers, Heart of Ohio Girl Scouts and Tippecanoe Girl Scouts. She loved auctions and taking pictures of her grandchildren and family. Surviving are her father, Mink McCormick of Deavertown; her adopted parents, Harry and Viola Devoll VanDyne of Zanesville; her husband of 31 years, David N. Butler, whom she married October 4, 1980, of the home; two sons, David Butler of Zanesville and Michael Butler of Adams Mills; three daughters, Angelina Butler and twins, Cheyenne and Krystal Butler, all of Frazeysburg; five grandchildren, Kaitlen, Hunter, Laken, Haley and Tara; three borthers, Kenny (Bertha) McCormick and Darrel McCormick, both of Deavertown and Keith VanDyne of Zanesville; three sisters, Vina (Sam) Renick of Deavertown and Patty VanDyne and Sheila Brewer, both of Zanesville; two half brothers, Marty McCormick and Eddy McCormick, both of Zanesville; a half sister, Patricia McCormick of Zanesville; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. James A. Schumacher officiating. Bridgette will be laid to rest beside her beloved mother at Dutch Hill Cemetery, Deavertown.
