Byron Dean Boley, 91, of Zanesville, died at 5:48 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at his residence. He was born July 20, 1918, in Ava, Ohio, a son of the late Frank E. and Gladys McElroy Boley. He retired as a electric motor repairman for the electric motor service division of the Hannon Motor Service. He was a member of the Fair Oaks Baptist Church, VFW George Selsam Post #1058 and was a United States Army World War II Veteran Surviving are a son, Robert D. (Dorothy) Boley of Youngsville, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Lisa Nasr of Miami, FL., Robert K. Boley and Deborah (Henry) Knaup, both of Zanesville; seven step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three nieces; a nephew; and a great nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Huffman Boley, whom he married June 28, 1947 and who died January 19, 2001; a brother, Loren Boley; and a sister, Melba Stottsberry. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Carl Finley officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. VFW George Selsam Post #1058 will hold full military rites at the gravesite.
