Camillus G. "Sully" Sullivan

Camillus "Sully" G. Sullivan, 91, of Zanesville, died at 8:08 a.m. Friday, September 02, 2011 at Genesis Bethesda Hospital. He was born December 21, 1919, in Corning, Ohio, a son of the late Samuel and Lulu Joseph Sullivan. He retired after 44 years of service as a supply man for McGraw-Edison Industries and Cooper Industries. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, an avid sports fan and a United States Army World War II Veteran. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia C. (Thomas) Scott of Zanesville; a grandson, Brian (Kristy) Scott of Blacklick, OH; three great grandchildren, Kennedy Rose, Dylan and Meredith Scott; two brothers, Raymond Sullivan and Carl Eugene Sullivan, both of Zanesville; a sister, Juanita Sullivan of Zanesville; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose J. Michael Sullivan, who died October 6, 1960; a grandson, Adam Patrick Scott; and a sister-in-law, Betty Sullivan. Friends and family may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville where vigil services will be held at 7:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 Main St., Zanesville with Father Martin Ralko as celebrant. Camillus will be laid to rest next to his wife, Rose, at Mt. Olive Cemetery. The United States Army in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post #1058 will hold full military honors at the graveside.
