Carl G. Tucker Jr.

Carl G. Tucker, Jr., 79, of Zanesville, died at 10:31 P.M. on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. He was born May 11, 1937, in Athens County, son of the late Carl G. and Margie Cripper Tucker, Sr. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Carl was a fork lift operator and machinist for Brockway Glass. He is survived by a daughter, Margie Yvone Tucker of Zanesville; two sons, Terry Lee (Margie A.) Tucker and Teddy Tucker, both of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Tristan and Travis Tucker; a brother, Leon (Shirley) Tucker of California; a sister-in-law, Connie Starkey of Zanesville; a special cousin, Harry (Kay) Crippen of New Concord; a step-brother, Jerry Lighthizer and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia R. Tucker, who died June 20, 2015; two daughters, Teresa Ann and Donna Jean Tucker; three brothers, Gaylon Butch Tucker, Rudolph James, and James William; a sister, Oma Ramsey; and a step-brother, Larry Lighthizer. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 26, 2017 with Mr. Chris Steele officiating. Full Military honors will be accorded to him by the United States Navy in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and the American Legion Post 29. He will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville, Ohio. Dignified and professional services entrusted to BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME.
