Carlos Leroy Allen, Sr.

Carlos Leroy Allen, Sr., 91, of Zanesville, died at 8:42 A.M. on Monday February 13, 2017, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville. He was born April 30, 1925 in Granville, Ohio, son of the late William J. and Rosa Welch Allen. Carlos was the Owner of Allen Excavating, former employee of Line Material, and a member of North Terrace Church of Christ. He is survived by two daughters, Marcia (Dale) Blosser and Dolores (Dana) Moore; a son, Carlos (Marlena) Allen Jr.; a sister, Florence Marshall; a brother Curtis (Connie) Allen; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Dorothy (Eppley) Allen. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil and Herb; and dear friend, Marlene Thornberry.
