Carole Ann (Taylor) Zeiher

December 8, 1935 — November 8, 2010

Carole Ann Taylor Zeiher, 74, of Ocala, Florida, passed on Monday evening November 8, 2010 at Shands Hospital, University of Florida with her children by her side. Carole was born Dec. 8, 1935, in Zanesville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Allen H. and Olive Marie Taylor. At time of passing, she was a member of Timber Ridge Community Church in Ocala. She graduated from Zanesville High School in 1953 and remained close friends with many of her classmates. Prior to retirement, Carole worked 10 years for Licking County Jobs and Family Services. Carole was a very caring and loving person with many friends. She enjoyed being outdoors (especially water related activities), knitting, baking, playing the piano and organ, and most of all, spending time with her children and grand-children. Over the years, she has volunteered at many community hospitals and hospice. Surviving are children Shari L. Kuhn (Jon), Brett A. Merkle, and Todd D. Merkle. She was very proud of her four grand-children: Joey and Rusty Williams (sons of Joseph L. Williams and Shari L. Kuhn), Lindsey and Brooke Merkle (daughters of DeAnna Merkle and Todd D. Merkle). She loved dearly her great-grandson, Trever A. Williams; Sister, Dolores M. Tignor of Texas, and her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard A. Taylor (surviving daughter Andrea M. Taylor of Frazeysburg); and the father of her children, Dwight L. Merkle.
