Caroline B. (Haver) Meyer

Caroline B. Meyer, 106, of Heath, died at 8:05 A.M. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark. She was born September 5, 1906, in Fairfield County near Millersport, a daughter of the late John Franklin and Carrie Alice Ellinger Haver Sr, and spent most her life in Zanesville. She worked for Lazarus in their accounts payable department. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Church's Auxiliary and Photo Club. Caroline enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, gardening, fishing, and was known for her delicious noodles. Nothing compared though, to her passion for golf, inspired by her husband Paul. She frequented the Green Valley Golf Course, and even got many holes-in-one!! She was a wonderful loving wife, grandmother, aunt, and great aunt, and took care of her nieces and nephews like they were her own children. She held numerous family reunions and enjoyed family holidays more than anything. She never missed a birthday, wedding, or graduation. She attended many Alumni Banquets with her brother Richard, and had many friends through church and golfing. Surviving are a brother, Richard Haver of Sun Lakes, Arizona; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Everett Geary; her second husband Paul B. Meyer, who died in 2000; three brothers; and three sisters. Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, with Pastor Brian George officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her first husband Everett at Glen Rest Cemetery, Reynoldsburg.
