Carolyn B. Sciance went to be with Jesus and many family and friends on July 30, 2010. Carolyn was born on September 13, 1929 in Zanesville to Russell Harrison and Marie Goodrich Bishop. She worked for numerous nursing homes throughout her life and also was a supervisor for Toy Ladies Party Plan for 25 years. She was a licensed insurance agent and worked for several insurance agencies. She along with her late husband, Bud, and more recently with her son Greg, participated in many craft shows and bazaars. She was appeared as Belvy Mae country comedy for several years, working in a three state area as the Cackleberries. She was also a songwriter one of which was the song of the year in 1960 in the United Kingdom. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Randy Newell) Henson of Zanesville, her sons, Harold "Buzz" (Jean) Sciance of Nashport, and Gregory Sciance of Zanesville, a son-in-law John L. Schilling of Chandlersville, one sister, Margaret Ann Binkley (Elmer) Godby, grandchildren, Shannon Gawell of Lancaster, John Michael (Denise) Schilling of Michigan, Rob (Thasia) Schilling of Duncan Falls, Michelle (Tommy) Jutras of Zanesville, Michael (Michelle) Sciance of Dresden, Seth (Amanda) Williamson of Zanesville, Erin Henson of Zanesville, step-grand children, Samantha Newell, Tazia Newell, Alicia Cravenor of Zanesville, Stephanie (Casey) Clouse of Chandlersville, Karen Bell of Columbus, great grandchildren Amanda (Josh) Gardner, Andy Collins, David, Katy, Cole and Ryan Schilling, Grant Brock, Morgan and Michael Sciance, Alston and Mason Williamson, and London Henson, and great-great grandchildren Brady and Noah Gardner, several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends including her beloved pets. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband of 42 years Harold "Bud" Sciance, her daughter, Laurel "Janie Sciance" Schilling, her brothers Dale Bishop and Russell Bishop and nephews Ronnie Bishop and Dean Binkley and dear friend Marilyn Schilling. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville Oh. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home with Greg Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Sterling cemetery, Mt. Sterling Oh.
