Charles E. "Eddie" Caton, 75, of Zanesville, died at 11:55 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the Genesis Hospice- Morrison House. He was born July 23, 1934, in Roseville, a son of the late Harry and Grace Corder Caton. He retired from Brockway Glass, was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of the Roseville Fire Department. Surviving are a brother, Harry (Darlene) Caton of South Zanesville; six sisters-in-law, Marlene Caton of Crooksville, Lois (Charles) Spires and Karen Wiseman, both of Zanesville, Betty (Jack) Norton of Sonora, Leona (Mel) Ford and Stella Spires, both of Roseville; many nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Rosaline Weaver of Zanesville. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Spires Caton, who died July 31, 2000; two brothers, Bobby Caton and Virgil Caton; and an infant sister, Grace Amanda Caton. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at the funeral home with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville, Ohio with full military honors being provided by the United States Army in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post 1058. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, 713 Forest Ave., Zanesville, Ohio, 43701.
