Charles W. "Chuck" Lawrence

Charles W. "Chuck" Lawrence, 86, of Lancaster, died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born November 6, 1925, in Caldwell, Ohio, a son of the late Rev. Robert Spencer and Luella Mae LaGrange Lawrence. He worked for Ohio Power then became the owner & operator of Point Appliances for 43 years. He was a member of the New Concord Methodist Church and a United States Navy World War II Veteran. He was an antique car collector and gun collector. He enjoyed woodworking and he made furniture for each of his family members. Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Ruth E. Mossman Lawrence, whom he married November 23, 1985, of the home; two daughters, Susan K. (Monte) Black of Lancaster and Kathy A. Price of Granville; a step daughter, Janet Kuhn of Pickerington; a step son, Gene (Cheryl) West of Pickerington; 11 grandchildren, Charles H. (Shana) Price IV, Andrew L. (Emily) Price, Elizabeth Ann Price, Amy L. (Wil) Haberman, Jared L. (Bethany) Black, Kristen N. (Dan) Hargus, Adam R. Black, Bree (Brian) Buttler, Gwen West, Courtnay (Brandon) Barber and Jennifer Kuhn; and 9 great grandchildren. Friends and family may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the funeral home with Mr. Matt Thomas officiating. Chuck will be laid to rest at Plainfield Cemetery in Plainfield, Ohio located in Coshocton County. VFW George Selsam Post #1058 in conjunction with the United States Navy will hold full military rites at the funeral home.
