Charles W. Lee, 79, of Nashport, Ohio went to be with our Lord, Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born March 11, 1925 in Zanesville a son of the late Walker M. & Lillian Mae Waddell Lee. He attended North Terrace Church of Christ. Charles and his brother Melvin were owners of the Gulf Service Station on Putnam and Maysville avenue for many years, he had worked in the oilfields and retired from Owens Corning as a millwright after 18 years of service. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists. Surviving are a daughter, Catherine M. Lee of Belleville, Ill., a son, Charles W. ( Christine ) Lee Jr. Of Nashport, three grandchildren, Ryan Lee, Erin Lee and Will Yeager, two sisters, Dorothy ( Pete ) Butryn of Phoenix, AZ., and Carol ( John ) Duffy of Riverview, Fla., several nieces and nephews and his two loving companions, Dusty and Daisey. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Erma E. Kovaleski Lee, who died March 27, 1993, three brothers, Robert E. Lee, Melvin Lee and Elmer Lee. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2005 with Rev. Roger McElfresh officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
