Charles W. Lee, Jr.

Charles W. Lee Jr. 57, of Heath, died at 5:27 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Licking Memorial Hospital emergency room. Charles saved lives as a former Assistant Fire Chief for the National Trail Volunteer Fire Department and has continued to save lives by being an Organ Donor. He was born October 12, 1950 in Zanesville, a son of the late Charles W. Sr. and Erma E. Kovaleski Lee. He was a Millwright with 34 years of service for Owens Corning Fiberglas in Newark. He attended Heath church of Christ, was a 35 year member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 1838, was a former coach for Little League Baseball at Hopewell, enjoyed boating and sports. Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Christine S. Fleming Lee, whom he married August 19, 1973 of the home; a son, Ryan M. (Brittany Edwards) Lee of Heath a daughter, Erin M. (Cody Huey) Lee of Zanesville; five grandchildren whom he cherished, Ayden, Jackson, Lydiah,Gabriel and Isaac; a sister, Cathy (Larry Yeager) Lee of Bellville, Ill.; mother and father-in-law, Jackie and George Fleming of East Fultonham, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and two faithful companions, Dusty and Daisy. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the funeral home with Rev. Roger McElfresh officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to National Trail Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.Box Gratiot, Ohio 43740.
