Charles L.Young, 84, of Zanesville, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2006 at his home after a short illness. He was born July 25, 1921, in Cambridge, to the late William S. And Murgie Fisher Young. Charles retired from the Zanesville Post Office as a letter carrier and was a World War II Army Veteran. Surviving are his wife, Barbara L. Wilson Young, whom he married January 17, 1976, of the home, four daughters; Judy (Robert) Adams and Lisa Williamson, both of Zanesville, Susan (Larry) Tabler of Louisville, KY and Betsy Young of Columbus; a foster daughter, Beverly (Virgil) Norris of Zanesville, three sons; William Young of Iraq, David Young of Woodbridge, VA.and Raymond (Valerie) Young of Columbus; a sister, Carrie Redman of Zanesville, 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Alma A. Young, a sister; Margaret Williamson, four brothers, Russell, Clarence (Bud) , Raymond and John (Jack) Young. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Wings of Hope Tabernacle with Rev. Terry F. Newman officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with VFW George Selsam Post 1058 holding full military rites at the grave.
