Christine Shuey Fairbanks, 87, of Columbus, died at 9:45 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2009 at Doctors Hospital Columbus. She was born June 18, 1922 in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late Harry E. & Zella Mae Myers Shuey. She was a homemaker and had retired as an Avon Representative. She was a member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Gary M. Fairbanks and Jerry R. Fairbanks both of Columbus; a granddaughter, Carla ( Ernesto) Varela of Galloway; four great grandchildren, Christopher Pen, Jessica Penn, Victoria Varela and Laura Varela; one great great granddaughter, Savanna Anderson; several nieces and nephews, Marlene Lewis Davis, Edward Lewis, Linda Shuey Davy and Brenda Shuey. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Fairbanks, who died in October 1966; a daughter, Mary Christine Fairbanks; a sister, Florence Shuey Lewis and two brothers, Loren L. And Wilbur W. Shuey. Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2009 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2009 with Rev. Charles Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery, Zanesville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
