Clinton E. Suttles, Sr.

Clinton E. Suttles Sr., 74, of Zanesville, died at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. He was born June 5, 1946, in Zanesville, a son of the late William and Helen (Snurr) Suttles. He retired from Scurlock Excavating and was a member of Hands of Faith Church. He loved to work on cars and could fix anything.

He is survived by three sons, Clinton E. (Theresa) Suttles, Jr., Mark Suttles, and Christopher (Brandi) Suttles; four daughters, Kristine (Dana) Hammers, Carrie (William) Harris, Casey Suttles, and Courtney (Chris) Sowers; twenty grandchildren, Hannah, Kenzi, Octaisha, Kiera, Daphney, Delaney, Christopher, Kylee, Jaycee, Langstyn, Lola, Brittney, Cassandra, Marcus, Dean, Madison, Jesse, Slade, Bradley, and Brady; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Billy, Terry, and Jay Suttles; two sisters, Ruthann (Harold Jr.) Newell and Mary “Susie” Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol D. (Wisecarver) Suttles whom he married December 31, 2013 and died January 14, 2019; a granddaughter, Autumn Ulry; three brothers, Charles, Michael, and Ronald Suttles; and four sisters, Linda Doty, Deborah Suttles, Wanda Suttles, and Barbara Pollock.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 – 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with funeral services to follow at 1:00 P.M. with Dr. Michael Bullock officiating. Cremation to follow.

The family requests that self-provided face masks be worn and social distancing be observed during the calling hours and funeral service.
