Clyde A. Reed, 56, of Zanesville, died at 5:07 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Genesis Good Samaritan emergency room. He was born May 17, 1952, in Zanesville, a son of the late Leonard and Barbara Rogers Reed. He was employed for 30 plus years in the housekeeping and maintenance departments for Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. Clyde was a hard worker who enjoyed mowing yards, working on cars, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a Methodist by faith. Surviving are three daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Bowman and Janelle (Kirby) Reed, both of Zanesville and Alicia Reed of Cape Coral, Florida; a son, Ryan King of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Gavin, Nash, Joey, Emma and Kendall; three sisters, Darla Wells, Trinnis (Charles) Gillogly and Tina Reed, all of Zanesville; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Judy and James Spinks of Zanesville; a special friend, Tammy Hayes of Zanesville; nieces, nephews; a sister-in-law; dear friends; and the mother of his children, Janet Hamel of Cape Coral, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carlos Reed. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the funeral home with the Rev. Vernon Small officiating.
