Clyde E. Wilson, 84, of Zanesville, died at 11:50 P.M. Monday, August 11, 2014, at The Oaks at Bethesda. He was born February 14, 1930, in Zanesville, a son of the late Victor and Verna Corbin Wilson. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Ace Truck where he was a welder and shop foreman. Clyde was a member of the VFW George Selsam Post #1058, the American Legion Post #29, and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife Dorothy Knight Wilson, whom he married September 12, 1953; a son Doug (Debby) Wilson of Zanesville; two daughters, Dianne (Mark) Lasure of Zanesville, and Denise Schusterman of Zanesville; eight grandchildren, Cory (Jennifer) Wilson and Brian Wilson, Melisa, Adam, and Andrea Viney, Ali (Bobby) Todd, Josh Schusterman, and Jenn (TJ) Fries; five great grandchildren, Camden, Emmie, Braylon, Raelee, and Cohen; two brothers, Ronald Wilson and Fred (Carol) Wilson; a sister Grace France; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Friends and family may call from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 15, 2014, with Rev. Mark A. Combs officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville, with military honors being conducted by the United States Army in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post #1058. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church: 116 North 7th Street, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
